History of the NAACP Image Awards

The NAACP Image Awards were created in 1967 in an effort to celebrate each year's achievements by notable people of color in the realms of service, social justice, and entertainment, as determined by votes among members of the NAACP. The 53 Image Awards categories lay out honors ranging across film, television, music, literature, and activism. Each year, the ceremony takes place in February or March, in the Los Angeles area.

Five Fantastic Horror Movies

One of the best ways to spend a night with friends, no matter what age you are, is watching horror movies. A night of popcorn, screams and laughter can make for great entertainment, especially if you have a great home theater system.

Many great classics have been re-released in High Definition on Blu-ray Discs, but there are also many available on the internet, so you can even make a list, and let your friends choose on the night. Many televisions now have internet access, so you can watch the films directly on the TV. Or you can hook up a projector to your PC and make your very own little theater in your living room.

These are the towns where the movie industry is not a realistic choice when it comes to making a living. However, it's not a dead dream. Do what others who came before you have done and continue to do: simply tell stories everyday.
